At six and a half months I started T on
- Baby sweet potatoes (the thin small ones, the fibre of which breaks down far easier than the matured larger ones)
Puréed and mixed either in combinations or by itself with a small teaspoon of rice cereal or oatmeal. I must say naturally sweet food seemed to work wonders and the added bonus of it being in warm colours made it visually pleasing too.
Hint: A pinch of cinnamon made it just so perfect!
