The perfect post workout pick me up!


I thought I’d never see the gym again especially because juggling the babies leaves me with zero motivation to workout, BUT yay! The shoes came out as did the gear and I totally loved it. 

After a long hiatus from the gym I absolutely loved being sore the next morning. 

Usually I eat a fruit, wait a bit and then head for a workout, come back home, have a refreshing bowl of overnight oats and fresh juice. One of my favourite juice is beetroot ginger apple. It makes for a delicious pick me up post exercise. 


Here’s what you’ll need:

  1. One small beetroot
  2. Half a green apple
  3. A small piece of ginger
  4. Honey 
  5. Water

Blitz it up in a high power blender (I use the magic bullet) and drink it without straining all the roughage. YUM!

I’ve always tried to keep juices as packed with flavour as possible. Be it with an addition of some lime juice, ginger or even a pinch of freshly ground spices (cardamom, nutmeg, cinnamon etc.). I know as T grows up, it’ll get increasingly difficult to have control over when and where he’s been given terra pack juices, but I am hoping he’ll develop a preference for mamma made natural ones over the ‘others’.
